How to get your WHOOP workouts into Forta
Forta reads workouts from Apple Health on your iPhone, and the WHOOP app can send your WHOOP activities there. In WHOOP, open More, then App Settings, Integrations and Apple Health, tap Connect and allow the categories. WHOOP sends workouts, active energy, heart rate during activities and, if you turn it on, steps. Routes aren’t on WHOOP’s export list, so Forta won’t draw a map.

WHOOP also sends sleep, resting heart rate, respiratory rate and blood oxygen. It doesn’t send HRV.
How long syncing takes
WHOOP doesn’t say how quickly activities reach Apple Health, so open the WHOOP app after a workout, then open Forta. If you edit or delete an activity in WHOOP later, WHOOP updates it in Apple Health too.
Known gaps
- No route map: WHOOP doesn’t send routes to Apple Health.
- Recovery activities, such as meditation and stretching, stay in WHOOP.
- Steps reach Apple Health only when they’re turned on in WHOOP’s settings.
Troubleshooting
- The same workout twice? That happens when WHOOP and another app or device both write it to Apple Health, and Forta lists both. WHOOP suggests turning off Workouts for WHOOP in Apple Health; Forta then shows the other app’s copy.
- Check what WHOOP may share: in the Health app, tap your profile picture in the upper corner, then, under Privacy, tap Apps and WHOOP.
- Reinstalled WHOOP? Turn the Apple Health integration on again.
- Steps or calories counted twice, or missing? When several sources send the same kind of data, Apple Health uses the one at the top of its list. In the Health app, tap Browse, Activity and Steps, scroll down to Data Sources & Access, tap Edit and drag WHOOP to the top.
- Still not in Forta? Pull down on Forta’s Workouts list to refresh it. If the workout is in Apple Health but not in Forta, check that Forta may read workouts: in the Health app, tap your profile picture in the upper corner, then, under Privacy, tap Apps and Forta, and turn on Workouts.
