How to get your Fitbit or Pixel Watch workouts into Forta
Forta reads workouts from Apple Health on your iPhone, and the Google Health app, which replaced the Fitbit app in May 2026, can share your Fitbit data with Apple Health. In Google Health, tap Connections, then Apps and services, and add Apple Health. Your Fitbit workouts then show up in Forta, with their routes, heart rate, steps and active calories. A Pixel Watch is different: Google says iPhones aren’t supported, so it can’t be set up with the iPhone that runs Forta.

Connect Google Health to Apple Health
You need the latest Google Health app, iOS 16.4 or later, an internet connection, and an adult Google Account. If you still sign in with a Fitbit account, move it to a Google Account first.
- 1Open Google Health. At the top left, tap Connections, then Apps and services.
- 2Under Add connections, tap Apple Health, then Get started.
- 3On the page titled Sync Google Health with Apple Health, tap Agree.
- 4Tap Turn All Categories On, or tick the categories you want, then tap Allow and Done.
- 5Open Forta. Your Fitbit workouts are in the Workouts list.
What reaches Apple Health
| Data | Reaches Apple Health | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Workouts | Yes | Google calls them Exercise. |
| Heart rate | Yes | Also resting heart rate. |
| Route map | Yes | Exercise routes. |
| Daily steps | Yes | Also distance and floors. |
| Active energy | Yes | Active calories burned. |
| Exercise minutes | No | Not on Google’s list. |
Google also writes sleep, VO2 max, body temperature, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, weight and more. Pick which ones on Apple’s permission screen.
How long syncing takes
Your Fitbit syncs with the Google Health app throughout the day, and each time you open the app with the tracker nearby. To sync right away, pull down on the Today tab, or tap Connections, then Sync. Google doesn’t say how quickly new data then reaches Apple Health, so open Google Health after a workout before you open Forta.
Pixel Watch
Pixel Watch needs an Android phone: Google’s compatibility page says “iPhones aren’t supported”, for every Pixel Watch model. Forta runs on iPhone, so there’s no supported way to bring Pixel Watch workouts into it.
Known gaps
- Pixel Watch doesn’t work with iPhone.
- Exercise minutes aren’t on the list of data Google writes to Apple Health.
- A Fitbit account has to be moved to a Google Account before you can connect Apple Health.
Troubleshooting
- Sync the tracker first: in Google Health, pull down on the Today tab.
- Update Google Health to the latest version from the App Store.
- Check what Google Health may share: in the Health app, tap your profile picture in the upper corner, then, under Privacy, tap Apps and Google Health, and turn on the categories you want. In Google Health, you can review them under Connections, Apps and services, Apple Health, Manage data and access.
- Reinstalled Google Health? Connect Apple Health again and grant the permissions again.
- Steps or calories counted twice, or missing? When several sources send the same kind of data, Apple Health uses the one at the top of its list. In the Health app, tap Browse, Activity and Steps, scroll down to Data Sources & Access, tap Edit and drag Google Health to the top.
- Still not in Forta? Pull down on Forta’s Workouts list to refresh it. If the workout is in Apple Health but not in Forta, check that Forta may read workouts: in the Health app, tap your profile picture in the upper corner, then, under Privacy, tap Apps and Forta, and turn on Workouts.
