How to get your COROS workouts into Forta

Forta reads workouts from Apple Health on your iPhone, and the COROS app can send your COROS data there. In the COROS app, go to the Profile page, then Settings, 3rd Party Apps, Data Sync and Apple Health, and pick the data types. COROS sends your activities as workouts, along with heart rate, steps and distance. Routes and active energy aren’t on COROS’s list of data it shares.

Turn on Apple Health in the COROS app

  1. 1Open the COROS app on your iPhone and go to the Profile page, then Settings.
  2. 2Tap 3rd Party Apps, then Data Sync, then Apple Health.
  3. 3On the page that opens, choose the data types to sync to Apple Health.
  4. 4After a workout, open the COROS app so it has the activity, then open Forta. The workout is in the Workouts list.

To change the data types later, in the Health app, tap your profile picture in the upper corner, then, under Privacy, tap Apps and COROS, and turn on the ones you want.

How long syncing takes

COROS doesn’t say how quickly new data reaches Apple Health. An activity goes from your watch to the COROS app first, so open the COROS app after a workout, then open Forta.

Known gaps

  • Routes aren’t on the list of data COROS shares, so expect no route map in Forta.
  • Active energy isn’t on the list either, so a COROS workout in Forta may have no calories.

Troubleshooting

  • Check what COROS may share: in the Health app, tap your profile picture in the upper corner, then, under Privacy, tap Apps and COROS, and turn on the data types you want.
  • Workout missing? Open the COROS app and check that the activity is there. If it isn’t, your watch hasn’t synced it yet.
  • Steps or calories counted twice, or missing? When several sources send the same kind of data, Apple Health uses the one at the top of its list. In the Health app, tap Browse, Activity and Steps, scroll down to Data Sources & Access, tap Edit and drag COROS to the top.
  • The same workout twice? If COROS and Strava both send your workouts to Apple Health, each one arrives twice, and Forta lists both. Keep workout sharing on in one of them.
  • Still not in Forta? Pull down on Forta’s Workouts list to refresh it. If the workout is in Apple Health but not in Forta, check that Forta may read workouts: in the Health app, tap your profile picture in the upper corner, then, under Privacy, tap Apps and Forta, and turn on Workouts.
